The Divine Comedy lideri Neil Hannon olan Kuzey İrlanda'nın barok pop tarzı grubu.1989 yılında kuruldu, Hannon grubun, daimi tek üyesidir.Bu güne kadar, 10 stüdyo albümleri the Divine Comedy adı altında piyasaya sürüldü.Grup en büyük reklamsal başarısını 1996-99 yılları arasında yakaladı,bu süre içinde top on hitleri National Express dahil, UK Top 40 listesine dokuz tekli soktular.Onuncu Divine Comedy albümü Bang Goes the Knighthood 31 Mayıs 2010'da piyasaya sürüldü.
